ADAM Teen is a one-day mental health conference for ages 13-19, as well as their parents or loved ones. With a focus on anxiety disorders and depression, ADAM Teen will provide information about treatment, connect teens with care and others who deal with similar issues, and discuss how to manage relationships and day to day life with mental illness.

ADAM Teen will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 in Provo, UT at the Utah Valley Convention Center.

We are pleased to announce that Kari Ferguson, founder of Mental Illness Matters and author of The OCD Mormon will be the opening keynote speaker. The closing keynote will be a screening of the documentary, “Angst,” along with a Q + A with therapist and film narrator Jenny Howe.

The format and topics will be a bit different from ADAM Conf. Some potential topics we hope to cover include:

-Navigating Church and Social Life
-Self Harm and Suicide
-Social Media and Mental Health

-Missions and Mental Illness

Hands-On Therapy Workshops:
-Mindfulness
-CBT/ERP

-Art/Music Therapy

For parents, there will likely be talks about family vs professional involvement and maintaining family relationships.

There will also be support groups for both teenagers and loved ones.
